Shops, establishments in EDMC area without Municipal Licences will face sealing after Sept

New Delhi, Aug 22 (KNN) The shops, establishments and godown located in the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) area would face sealing if they fail to get General Trade/ Storage licence by September 16, 2018.

EDMC has come out with a Public Notice in this regard and said, “This public notice shall be treated as Sealing Show Cause Notice for the purpose of sealing of shops, establishments etc without licence after 16.09.2018. No separate sealing show cause notice will be issued.”

For General Trade and Storage Licence, the notice said, “Each shop and godown located in EDMC area is required to have a Municipal Licence called General Trade/ Storage Licence (GTL) which can be obtained easily online by uploading a few simple documents and paying necessary fees.”

Similarly, each meat shop located in EDMC area is required to have a Municipal Licence called Veterinary Trade Licence (VTL).

All eating establishments such as restaurants, dhabas, takeaways, banquet halls etc, lodges, guest houses, bakeries, saloons, beauty parlours, gym/ health clubs, recreation clubs, swimming pools, kiryana stores, trades of milk & milk products etc. operating in the jurisdiction of EDMC area are required to have a Municipal Licence called Health Trade Licence (HTL).

The notice said that at present many such establishments are presently operating without licence in the EDMC area. (KNN Bureau)
