Sikkim Chronicle to host Entrepreneurs’ Conclave from May 29-30

Gangtok, May 27 (KNN) Independent digital media platform Sikkim Chronicle is organising its first ever Entrepreneurs’ Conclave from May 29 to 30 to provide a platform to understand and analyse the nuances, scope, challenges of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship in the state.

The Sikkim Chronicle Entrepreneurs’ Conclave will take place at Ramada by Wyndham Gangtok Hotel and Casino Golden.

Speaking about the initiative, Yougan Tamang, Co-founder of Sikkim Chronicle said, “The tiny Himalayan state of Sikkim in recent days has seen a major boost in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. To create a healthy ecosystem for entrepreneurs, many young minds, organisations and policy makers are striving to delve into the subject.”

Emphasising on the booming numbers of entrepreneurs working in diverse sectors, Tamang said, the event will be the first of its kind in Sikkim where entrepreneurs and stakeholders will come on a single platform to talk about various issues pertaining to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship in Sikkim.

Sikkim has a suitable climate for agricultural and horticultural products. It supports multiple crops; viz., rice, wheat, maize, millet, barley, urad, pea, soya bean, mustard and large cardamom.

It is one of the top producer of large cardamom, contributing over 80 per cent to India’s total production.

In August 2019, Sikkim was declared as world’s first 100 per cent organic state by UN Food and Agriculture (FAO).  (KNN Bureau)
