Gurgaon, Jun 10 (KNN)  The Haryana government is implementing six industrial model towns along Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway even as much-touted road project is running well behind the schedule.

The IMTs, which will become the hubs of manufacturing, mostly the clean technology industries are Manesar, Mewat and Bawal near Gurgaon, Rohtak, Palwal near Faridabad and Kharkhoda near Sonipat.

The IMT projects are being implemented by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation LTD (HSIIDC) and are in various stages of progress.
Consultants have been appointed for most of these projects.

For the upcoming Industrial Model Township (IMT) at Kharkhoda, HSIIDC is keen to conduct the best-use study and transaction advisory services.

HSIIDC has therefore invited bids from the consultancies from providing transaction advisory services for selection of developer for the development of infrastructure through the public-private- partnership mode, said a notification.

Delhi Western Peripheral Expressway, or KMP Expressway is a 135.6 km long expressway under construction.  The expressway will act as a Delhi bypass for traffic coming from north of Delhi on NH 1 and going to south of Delhi on NH 2 or west of Delhi on NH 8.

An industrial estate developed over an area of 1500 acre or above at a particular place is defined as an Industrial Model Township (IMT).

HSIIDC is the nodal agency for development of Industrial Infrastructure in the State of Haryana. After acquisition of land through the Department of Industries, Government of Haryana, the Corporation prepares a detailed plan for its development and thereafter executes various development works viz construction of roads, provision of water supply, sewage, drainage and electrical infrastructure. This is followed by provision of secondary level of facilities such as the STP/ CETP, development of plantation/ green belts, commercial and institutional sites, common parking facilities, etc.

In this process, the Corporation has developed IMT, Industrial Estates and Industrial Clusters (Theme Parks) at strategic locations and framed its own internal set of guidelines for their governance. (KNN)
