South Gujarat Productivity Council gets new President

Surat, Jul 16 (KNN)  Anil Saraogi has been appointed President of the South Gujarat Productivity Council (SGPC) which is affiliated to the National Productivity Council under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

Saraogi and his team of office bearers for 2014-15 were installed during a ceremony here yesterday. 

Chief Guest at the event was Vice Chancellor – Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Daxesh Thakar, while the Guest of Honour was President SGCCI, Mahendrabhai Katargamwala.

Saraogi takes over from Past President, Pravin Nanavati (2013-14).

Established in 1992, SGPC promotes productivity culture in South Gujarat region with full support of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Surat.

It is an autonomous tripartite, non-profit organization with representation from Government, employers and employees organizations, technical and professional institutions.

Its services include training, consultancy and productivity dissemination.  Its areas of service include Energy Audit / Management; Information Technology / Computer Classes Information, Databank, Seminars; and Conference and Marketing Training for SSI units.

On a regular basis, SGPC conducts courses on ISO 9000-14000 and on Total Quality Management (TQM); Import - Export Management; Fashion Designing; Public Speaking, Spoken English, Personality Development for youth; personal Secretarial and Office Management; and Labour Training.  (KNN/ES)
