Srinagar invites bids for constructing bicycles stands

New Delhi, May 30, (KNN) Taking a step towards protecting an eco-friendly environment, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has invited tenders from interested parties for constructing bicycle stand.

The successful bidders will get a contract to build cycle stands in various areas of Srinagar to promote the city as a tourist friendly destination.

The scenic beauty of Kashmir attracts many tourists who like to roll out on bicycles. The cycles will be available on rent for the tourists for 24 hours.

SMC also has plans to establish bicycle parking points in areas frequented by tourists. 

Further, if the general public or government officials wish to purchase bicycles, offers are available in the form of comfortable instalments.

According to media report SMC has identified places at Karan Nagar, Pratap Park, Nishat, Hazratbal and Nehru Park for parking of cycles.  (KNN)
