Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024 Secured Rs 60,000 Crores In Investments On Inaugural Day

Tamil Nadu, Jan 8 (KNN) The Global Investors Meet 2024 received investment pledges worth Rs. 60,000 crore on the inaugural day itself, Tamil Nadu government announced.

These investment commitments are poised to benefit multiple districts in the southern Indian state, with the potential to generate 50,000 jobs across various sectors.

Prominent investors including Tata Electronics, Vin Fast (Vietnamese EV firm), Hyundai, JSW Energy, TVS Group, First Solar, Godrej and others have signed Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) in various sectors such as electronics, automobile and energy.

"India will grow when the states grow," stated Piyush Goyal, Commerce and Industry Minister of India, during the meet.

Singapore, Korea, England, Japan, France, Australia, Germany, Denmark, and America are amongst the nine official partners, with nearly 50 other nations participating, according to the Tamil Nadu government.

On Monday, at the valedictory ceremony of the Global Investors Meet 2024, a complete picture would emerge of the quantum of investment and the total potential of job creation.

More MoUs are anticipated to be signed on the final day of the investors' meet.

The Investors Meet also marked the introduction of a detailed action plan aimed at fulfilling the Chief Minister's goal of achieving a $1 trillion economy by 2030.
