Chennai, May 1 (KNN) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled the 'Tamil Nadu Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme' on Wednesday.
This initiative is designed to attract investments of approximately Rs 30,000 crore and generate 60,000 jobs across the state.
The program was launched as part of the state's broader effort to strengthen its position in the electronics manufacturing sector.
This scheme aims to enhance the production of electronic components throughout Tamil Nadu by providing targeted incentives to manufacturers.
The new program will offer matching subsidies to companies that qualify under the central government's initiative.
Tamil Nadu currently holds the top position among Indian states for electronics exports, having achieved a record USD 14.65 billion in the 2024-25 financial year.
Through these coordinated policy initiatives, Tamil Nadu continues to develop its electronics manufacturing ecosystem while aligning with national manufacturing objectives and creating substantial employment opportunities for residents across the state.
