Tata Motors to build favorable and friendly eco-system in Electronic Sector in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur, June 6 (KNN) In a bid to bring leading automotive manufacturer Tata Motors and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on a common platform to build strong and deep connection with vendor partners, Tata Motors organized a Vendor Development Program (VDP) in association with Government of Jharkhand.

The agenda behind holding this program was to create a common platform where all the participants can get ample scope for interaction and can exchange views among themselves.

Speaking on the occasion, K Ravi Kumar, Director of Industries Jharkhand said “Jharkhand is one of the emerging states contributing to the country’s electronic industry.”

He said that the Electronics manufacturing cluster (EMC) in Adityapur is being developed as a leading electronic cluster with “world-class infrastructure” to attract investments in the electronics sector.

This cluster holds immense potential where companies can come and set up their units, he added.

Casting light on the Industrial and Investment policy of Jharkhand, Kumar said, “Government of Jharkhand has created a focused Industrial and Investment Promotion policy for attracting investment, providing incentives, identifying land for manufacturing clusters etc.”

He said that the Adityapur Industrial Area is known for its auto components units.

Sharing the commitment of the state government, he said that the government of Jharkhand is committed to give impetus to indigenous manufacturing of electronic products by creating a favorable investor - friendly ecosystem and state -of - the - art infrastructure across the entire value chain of Electronics sector.

With a pleasure to be associated with government of Jharkhand for such unique project, Sampath Kumar, Head Jamshedpur Plant, Tata Motors Ltd. said, “It opens door for a lot of opportunities not only for Tata Motors but also for all the SMEs. This will make the process smoother and will also help in creating a robust ecosystem of the suppliers.”

More than 100 delegates attended the session across a wide array of sectors.
