Hyderabad, July 9 (KNN) The Telangana government on Friday announced that farmers are now eligible for Rs 2 crore loan under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF).

It can be paid in seven years, informed Samuel Praveen Kumar, Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farm Welfare on Friday. 

He was addressing a gathering of farmers after inaugurating awareness programme for 60 farmers and 300 Agro Rytu Seva Centre organisers at MSME premises in Hyderabad.

Explaining the features of the loan Samuel said that the it can be availed without any collateral security with lowest interest rate.

Noting that the state is in 5th position in implementing the scheme, Agros Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Ramulu said that this scheme is a good opportunity for agriculture entrepreneurs.

Out of the Rs 3,075 crore target for Telangana under the scheme only Rs 359 crore has been utilised, he said.  (KNN Bureau)
