Telangana Govt to put cap on land allotted to large industries to curb procurement of extra land

Hyderabad, Sep 21 (KNN) Telangana government is planning to put a cap on land allotted to large industries and include the value of land and machinery in the amount of investor proposed by the investor.

The move aim to curb misuse of land allotted to the big industries.

In this regard, a cabinet sub-committee on large industrial projects met on Monday to discuss issues related to incentives extended to industries in the state.

The sub-committee headed by State Industries Minister K T Rama Rao took the decision to consider the future value of land and machinery as part of the investment.

According to the sub-committee the step would prevent industries from procuring land more than required and preventing them from showing extra land as part of their investment.

The committee has also decided to prepare a map of land in the state and convert it into geo-mapping. The committee instructed officials to prepare the map within a week.
