Thousand candidates to be trained under ASTE Scheme in Vellore

Vellore, Aug 6 (KNN) Under the State Government’s Amma Skill Training and Employment (ASTE) Scheme, a total of 1,000 candidates will be given skills training during this financial year in Vellore district.‎

As per the official press release, skill training would  be provided for six months to unemployed youth possessing engineering degree, polytechnic, diploma and ITI certificate or any other qualification and aged 18 to 25 years.

As per the scheme, Micro, Small and Medium (MSME) enterprises will impart the required training to the youth.

They will also be provided with a salary of Rs. 5,000 per month, according to release.

On completion of the training period, the government would reimburse an amount of Rs. 12,000 to the MSMEs that have imparted the training.

The National Skills Development Corporation (NSIC) would assess the trained candidates and issued necessary certificates. (KNN Bureau)
