Tiruchi Railway Division invites micro-enterprises, weavers to showcase product under OSOP scheme
Tiruchi, May 6 (KNN) Extending the ‘One Station One Product’ scheme to more railway stations, the Tiruchi Railway Division has invited micro-enterprises, tribal artisan weavers, craftsmen to showcase their products for promotional and sales purpose.
The Railway administration will charge a token amount and allot a designated place for 15 days which would be based on a first-come and first-serve basis.
Products ranging from local handicrafts, artifacts, handlooms, agro products and semi-processed food items as per station-wise criteria will be displayed.
Every Railway station will showcase a unique line of products such as Thirubuvanam silks at Tiruchi Junction, Swamimalai bronze icons at Kumbakonam station, Nachiarkoil brass works at Mayiladuthurai station, etc.
All the applicants must hold an identity card issued by the Development Commissioner, Handicrafts, Development Commissioner, Handloom or by the requisite State / Central government authority.
To be an eligible applicant the tribal artisans, weavers and craftsmen must be enrolled/registered with TRIFED or Self Help Groups and Micro Enterprises must be registered under MSME.
