Tiruchirappalli loan mela offers various schemes to entrepreneurs

Tiruchirappalli, Aug 22 (KNN) A special loan mela is currently underway here, offering entrepreneurs various loan schemes for construction of commercial buildings, setting up generators and technology upgradation.
Organised by the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC), the loan mela will continue until August-28, and MSMEs have been urged to make the most of the offerings, reports The Hindu.
According to the report, “TIIC had been offering various loan schemes for construction of community centre, commercial complex, marriage hall and hotels, establishment of generator, warehouse, and cold storage. Owners of textile units could also make use of the technology upgradation fund scheme.”
In addition, there is provision of subsidy under various schemes. Entrepreneurs wanting explanation of the schemes can avail of the arrangements made in this regard.
TIIC urges entrepreneurs to consistently keep abreast of the new schemes.
Established in 1949, TIIC is a premier State Financial Corporation that fosters industrial development in Tamil Nadu by providing financial assistance to industries for purchase of land, machinery and construction of buildings.
It provides financial assistance at competitive interest rates for setting up of new industrial units and for expansion / modernisation / diversification of existing industries in the state. It also offers loan for service sector projects such as hotels, hospitals and tourism related projects.
While TIIC provides assistance to micro, small, medium and large enterprises, about 90 per cdent of the assistance goes to the micro, small and medium enterprises [MSME] sector. Of this, about 40 per cent goes to first generation entrepreneurs. Thus, TIIC acts as a catalyst for industrial promotion within the State, by creating a new generation of entrepreneurs. (KNN/ES)
