TN govt gave financial assistance of Rs 169 cr to 2,784 MSMEs during pandemic

Chennai, May 17 (KNN) The government of Tamil Nadu granted Rs 169.44 crore to nearly 2,784 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as financial assistance during the covid-19 pandemic, said Minister for MSMEs and Rural Industries T.M. Anbarasan. 

Speaking at an event organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI),he said that the state government supported MSMEs through investment subsidies. 

He highlighted the significant role of MSMEs to achieve Chief Minister M K Stalin’s vision of achieving USD 1 trillion economy by 2030.

The Minister showed confidence in the contribution of MSMEs which will majorly accelerate the process towards the ambitious goal, he said. 

A panel discussion was held at the summit to focus on the challenges faced by the MSME sector and create more opportunities.  (KNN Bureau)
