TN govt launches StartupTN BrandLabs and LaunchPad

Chennai, June 1 (KNN) The state government of Tamil Nadu has launched the StartupTN BrandLabs and LaunchPad, initiatives of Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM) to help entrepreneurs in the area of marketing and branding.

The Launchpad will help startups launch their products and services to build a successful brand and scale up to the next level, while the StartupTN BrandLabs will comprise successful TN entrepreneurs to help aspirants including students learn and unlearn all about marketing and branding.

Sivarajah Ramanathan, CEO and Director of TANSIM called StartupTN BrandLabs as a knowledge and networking forum with branding experts from across the world.

Speaking at the launch event, MSME minister T M Anbarasan inspired the youth to become job creators and steer the state towards further progress, and not just be content with landing well-paid jobs.

He also said that the state government is always on the forefront to guide youth with entrepreneurial dreams.

Highlighting the startup ecosystem of the state, he said that there are incubators in 81 TN colleges that provide technical support and also conduct workshops, seminars and boot camps.

“As many as 21,161 students have been imparted with entrepreneurship training last year, he added. To encourage fresh graduates, the government has disbursed Rs 6.11 crore to 218 innovators and entrepreneurs through the Innovation Voucher Programme,” he added.  (KNN Bureau)
