TN steps to improve industrial infrastructure

Chennai, Nov 2 (KNN)  As an effort to refurbish its industry sector, the Tamil Nadu government proposes to build and improve industrial townships.

State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (SIPCOT) is improving the facilities for internal road, street lights, water supply, custom office and compound wall in SEZ areas in Thiruvallu and Krishnagiri districts.

It also wants to strengthen the transportation by maintaining the existing roads, construction of precast drains, retaining wall at SIPCOT complex and providing street light for the connectivity road from industrial complex to SEZ areas in these districts.

In this context, the state government will be appointing consultants from which will help it serve in compliance to the proposed requirements.

SIPCOT is an organisation owned by Tamil Nadu government to promote industrial growth in the state and to advance term loans to medium and large industries. (KNN/ST)
