Lucknow, Mar 6 (KNN) With a view to reducing human interference in the process of issuance of clearances to industries and providing a single window for clearance to the industry, the Uttar Pradesh Government has made it mandatory to submit applications online for setting up industrial units in the state including small, medium and major categories from May 1.

“It has been made mandatory that May 1 onwards, all applications for setting up industrial enterprises in the state would have to be submitted online for the small, medium and large entrepreneurs,” Uttar Pradesh Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner, Alok Ranjan told KNN.

“No application moved manually would be accepted,” he added.

He further said that a government order has been already issued to this effect, telling entrepreneurs willing to set up industrial units under small, micro and major categories to file their applications for obtaining approvals, clearances, no-objection certificates online from May 1.

“The move is to provide genuine single window to the industrialists to submit their applications rather than manually going to each department to submit the forms. This will help them a lot and will make the process simpler,” Ranjan said.

According to the new process, the industrialists will have to submit only one application which will be sent to various concerned departments for clearance.

"All government departments under the ambit of Nivesh Mitra will have to accept applications submitted online exclusively," he said.

The move would make the process more transparent as there will be less human interference. “It will definitely help in reducing corruption,” he added.  (KNN/SD)
