Traders will suffer huge loss on shutting half of Gurugram e-way lanes at Delhi border: MIWA

New Delhi, Jan 18 (KNN) Traders will suffer a huge loss as 16-17 of the expressway’s 32 lanes at the border will be closed to make space for construction of an underpass near Ambience mall, said Manmohan Gaind, Vice President of MIWA.
While talking to KNN he said that traders will have great difficulty as there is no other alternative route for them.
And once half of this highway will be shut, it will increase the problem manifold, he added.
“The government should have cleared the old Delhi highway, so that big trucks and other trading activity could have been made easier for all,” Gaind said.
Nine lanes on the Delhi-Gurugram carriageway and seven lanes on the other side are expected to be off bounds.
For the underpass, the barricading will begin from the median verge of the expressway and shift in phases to the edges. And for the U-turn flyover, the edges of the road near Shankar Chowk will be barricaded.
The problem will not be solved till this underpass is made, he mentioned.
Suggesting possible solution to the problem he said, “Government should make a complete plan and advertise about, it so that traders can take alternate routes.”
Gaind added that proper measures should be taken.
