Training programme on export awareness at BBIA Bhawan

Jammu, Dec 23 (KNN) Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) with support from Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) conducted a training programme on export awareness for the Industry Fraternity in Jammu.
BBIA President Anil Suri was the Chief Guest in the programme organised under Niryat Bandhu Scheme on December 24, 2014 at BBIA Bhawan.
Welcoming the members of the fraternity, Deputy Director of DGFT, Amit Kumar highlighted the various benefits being provided to industrial sector by Ministry of Commerce. He requested them to avail the benefit of the scheme by increasing their export to different countries.
The department showed a power point presentation indicating various schemes and benefits available to industrial units in the field of import and export.
Suri appreciated DGFT’s initiative by organising first such event for the Industrial Fraternity of Jammu. He also thanked the department for highlighting the various schemes for the member units which will help them to expand their business by importing the raw materials and exporting the finished goods which will also generate more employment opportunities in our state.
In his address, Managing Director, Karamhans Foods Pvt Ltd, Sujiv Jain stressed upon the officials to provide latest information about the implementation of various schemes related to industrial sector in the state enabling Industrial Fraternity to avail the benefits of export and import of their products.
Sr Vice President Rakesh Bhat, General Secretary, BBIA, Lalit Mahajan and other prominent industrialist and exporters of Jammu attended the programme.
Mahajan presented Vote of thanks on behalf of the association and Aruna Narula conducted the proceeding of the seminar on behalf of DGFT.
Mementos were also presented to the dignitaries by the DGFT. (KNN/ST)
