Tribals demand MSME board and separate industrial policy in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Sept 24 (KNN) Tribals of Jharkhand have urged for a formation of tribal MSME board and a separate industrial policy to increase their participation in entrepreneurial ecosystem. 

These demands were raised during the Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme organised on Friday.

It was hosted by National SC-ST Hub, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, Ranchi Office in collaboration with Tribal Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Mahila Koshang.

Chief Manager of National SC-ST Hub Kiran Maria Tiru, Convenor of Tikki Women Cell Vasavi Kiro and State Secretary Anima Baa from Mahila Cell along with a large number of women entrepreneurs participated in the programme.

Addressing the programme, chief manager Kiran Maria Tiru apprised everyone about the schemes of National SC ST Hub and provided information related to central government and state government tender and business loan and motivated women to come into businesses.

She said that the Ministry of MSME, Government of India Public Procurement Policy has also brought a reservation of 3 per cent for women under this, but due to the negligible number of women in the field of business, women are not able to take advantage of this reservation by such programmes. 

The department’s main priority is to make them aware and bring them into the field of business.  (KNN Bureau)
