Delhi Government Unveils 2024-25 Budget With Emphasis On "Ram Rajya" Vision

New Delhi, Mar 4 (KNN) In a significant move just ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the Delhi government has unveiled its budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 on Monday.

Presented by Delhi Finance Minister Atishi in the state assembly, the budget carries an outlay of Rs 76,000 crore, showcasing the administration's steadfast commitment to achieving the vision of good governance or "Ram Rajya."

Atishi, in her inaugural budget speech, outlined a substantial allocation of Rs 16,396 crore for the education sector, reflecting the government's prioritisation of human capital development.

She expressed pride in presenting the tenth budget under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, highlighting the transformative journey Delhi has witnessed over the past decade under the AAP government.

Chief Minister Kejriwal, who has previously espoused the principles of "Ram Rajya," reiterated the government's dedication to serving the people of Delhi in line with these ideals.

He has highlighted the 10 principles of AAP's governance inspired by "Ram Rajya', which include ensuring no one goes hungry, providing equal and quality education and healthcare, 24-hour access to electricity, water supply, pilgrimage opportunities for the elderly, ensuring safety for citizens and women, employment for all, controlling inflation, and equal opportunities for all.

This budget, themed around "Ram Rajya," holds particular significance amid the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

It serves as a testament to the AAP's distinctive approach to governance, blending religious ethos with socialist principles, aimed at fostering inclusive development and social welfare.
