Chandigarh, Mar 15 (KNN) The Chandigarh administration has decided to set up an Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC) in Manimajra on the lines of an existing EDC at Chandigarh IT Park, according to a report in the TOI.

The proposed site for the new EDC is a 2-acre land parcel belonging to the industries department with space for around 200 start-ups.

“The upcoming Entrepreneur Development Centre will provide new and emerging start-ups enterprise with an environment that will support them and increase likelihood of success,” an official said.

As per reports, EDC will help actively identify and provide value-added services required to support success of start-ups and to strengthen start-up culture.

EDC at the Chandigarh IT Park was develop to enhance the export of the software export from the UT and to assist young professionals in setting up their entrepreneurship by providing shell space or space with plug n play facilities in a state of the art environment friendly and an intelligent building.  (KNN Bureau)
