G-20 perfect opportunity to push J&K’s products to international markets: LG Manoj Sinha
Srinagar, May 16 (KNN) The Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the upcoming G-20 meeting in Srinagar will provide an opportunity to push J&K’s handloom, handicraft, Pashmina, dry fruit, saffron and other products to international market.
Addressing the Kissan Samparak Abhiyan at Dooru in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, the LG said that the G-20 is not an administration’s event but purely a peoples’ one.
He said that the unprecedented progress and growth in Agriculture & Allied sectors in the UT is a testimony to our resolve that there should be prosperity in all the farming households and the steady, viable & profitable farming should inspire the young generations to take up farming.
“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are moving ahead with a vision to take the agriculture sector in J&K on a trajectory of high growth and prepare our farmers to meet new challenges and make farming accessible & profitable,” he added.
The third G20 tourism working group meeting is scheduled to be held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar from May 22 to 24, 2023. (KNN Bureau)
