J&K industry body seeks road freight incentives up to port to boost exports

Jammu, Apr 18 (KNN) Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) has urged the central government for the reimbursement of Road Freight up to Port that is nearest for the Export of Industrial Goods from Jammu & Kashmir (J&K).

Lalit Mahajan Chairman of FOIJ mentioned that there is a lot of scope for the Export of Goods from UT to other countries.

“The unit holders are not able to compete in the International market,” he pointed out in a press release. 

“It is the need of the hour to provide the Road Freight Incentive up to nearest Port under the Incentivizing Export through Make in India, Make for World Scheme,” he added.

Mahajan also highlighted problems faced by J&K due to locational disadvantage and hostile borders with China & Pakistan.  (KNN Bureau)
