Rs 3160 cr Potential Linked Credit Plan proposed by NABARD for Anantnag district

Anantnag, Dec 30 (KNN) National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has proposed a Rs 3160 crore Potential-linked Credit Plan (PLP) for Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir for FY24.

It was launched by DC Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom under whose chairmanship it was revealed at a district level consultative committee meeting.

The credit can be tapped by banks, financial institutions and development departments in the district, reported Kashmir Reader.

The meeting was attended by, ADDC, Joint Director Planning, DDM NABARD, LDM, district officers from various departments and banks were also present in the meeting.

DDM NABARD Rouf Zargar informed that the PLP would form the basis for the preparation of the annual District Credit plan for the upcoming year.

Reflecting the national priorities which is to scale up lending to various sectors of the economy, the PLP is being prepared based on the policies of the Central and State Governments.

He added that the PLP takes into account the various sectors such as Agriculture, MSME, solar energy, food/agro-processing, export credit, Education and Housing sectors.  (KNN Bureau)
