UP Diwas Celebration Starts in Lucknow; One District One Product’ to be launched to boost traditional industries

New Delhi, Jan 24 (KNN) Uttar Pradesh is all set to celebrate the “UP DIWAS” from today i.e. 24 January 2018 in a grand manner in Lucknow. This event will be inaugurated by Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu.

This three-day event is coinciding with the annual Lucknow Mahotsav which will also commence today and at the same venue — Awadh Shilp Gram on Shaheed Path.

The credit goes to Governor Ram Naik for this as he is the person who suggested the celebration Previous year in Akhilesh Yadav regime , but was ignored.

Organization of Various cultural and entertainment programs and felicitation of artistes will make the event more memorable. The event will have a trade fair showcasing collective might of its traditional industries and its large micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) base.

On this occasion ‘One district one product’ will be launched and a documentary about ‘Uttar Pradesh’ will also be released while the new Solar Policy of the state will be unveiled.

UP government will also distribute a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh to 110 beneficiaries of eight blocks under Central-sponsored MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency) scheme.

Logo of UP Diwas will also be released by dignitaries.

The Vice-President will lay the foundation of development schemes worth Rs 11,506 crore and dedicate completed projects worth Rs 12,950 crore and dedicate to the people development schemes of 44 departments worth Rs 25,000 crore on the inaugural day of UP Diwas.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Ram Naik will also be present on the occasion.

On January 25, stone plaque of ministers in-charge of each district will also be installed relating to foundation laying of projects and projects inaugurated

The Chief Minister will honor farmers during Agriculture exhibition on January 25 and exporters, entrepreneurs and craftsman on January 26 in the concluding program. The event will conclude with a launch of website of Information department  and Yuva Sangam Karyakram’. (KNN/YV)
