UP Forest Corp to develop ecotourism

Lucknow, Jun 25 (KNN) Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation (UPFC) has proposed to produce promotional films to promote ecotourism at different destinations in and around forests in the state.

The corporation is seeking high quality promotional films focusing on enjoying and learning from the nature and culture while visiting and maintaining a responsible attitude.

The films will cover ecotourism areas of activities such as potential destinations, local heritage and culture at potential destinations and any other relevant clippings regarding environmental education and involvement of local communities in relation to ecotourism in Uttar Pradesh.

Major activities under ecotourism program included activities like bird/animal watching, plant observing, trekking, photographic safari, nature camping, row boating and tree house experience.

In this context, UPFC is inviting bids from experienced individuals or firms who have expertise in promotional or short film making to make 4 and 8 minutes promotional films focusing on ecotourism.

Eco-tourism is a form of tourism in which the main motivation of the tourist is observation of nature and rural areas connected with nature. It is one of the fastest-growing segments of the tourism industry.

It has similarities with rural tourism which have a significant role in the economic development of those tourist destinations.

Recently, the Rajasthan Government has planned to develop rural tourism which is a new concept of promoting tourism in the state. (KNN/ST)
