New Delhi, May 6 (KNN) The state of Uttar Pradesh has set up 320 new units for promotion of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) for various trades.

“Eight infrastructure development centres have been set up, in which 320 new units have been established,” said MSME Minister K H Muniyappa in the Rajya Sabha today.

The cluster development programme has facilitated growth and promotion of MSMEs in the state under various trades.

So far, 115 diagnostic studies have been completed in various clusters in Uttar Pradesh, he said.

Further, 45 soft interventions have been undertaken which provide awareness on various government schemes, training for skill upgradation, capacity building, exposure to other clusters, programmes on technology upgradation, marketing support and export awareness.

In order to facilitate small businesses to avail common facility services within the cluster at competitive price, four hard interventions have been approved. (KNN)
