UP govt plans to rope in private sector to set up solar power plants

Lucknow, Jan 23 (KNN) In order to promote new and renewable energy devices, the Uttar Pradesh Government wants to rope in the private sector for setting up solar power plants in the state.

“Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) intends to select Solar Power Project Developer in private sector as per guidelines enumerated in Solar Power Policy Uttar Pradesh 2013 for Development of Solar Power Projects in the State,” said a notification.

In order to ensure best possible response from prospective promoters, UPNEDA seeks to engage consultancy services in the entire bidding process for selection of the developers.

UPNEDA is a registered society under the Department of Additional Source of Energy Government of UP and it is working as a nodal agency and implementing programmes, creating awareness in general public by research and development and publicity of new and renewable energy devices in the field of renewable energy.
