UP govt seals Rs 564 cr worth 13 Defence Investment agreements

Lucknow, Oct 20 (KNN) During the ongoing Defence Expo 2022 in Gandhinagar on Wednesday the Uttar Pradesh government signed 13 MoU with various companies which are likely to invest Rs 564 crore in the state, said Nand Gopal Gupta, UP Cabinet Minister.

The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) signed the pact and the investment will be made in the UP Defence Industrial Corridor.

The state of UP at the expo is represented by Gupta, the industrial development minister.

“Uttar Pradesh has signed 13 MoUs with various companies manufacturing defence armaments through which they will invest Rs 564 crore in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor being developed by the UPEIDA,” he said.

“With inspiration from the prime minister and under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is continuously moving forward in the field of industrial development,” the minister said.

He noted that UP has “huge potential” in the industrial corridor for MSME companies in the defence armament sector.  (KNN Bureau)
