UP govt to revamp MSME policy; aims for investment beyond NCR districts
Lucknow, Aug 16 (KNN) The government of Uttar Pradesh is working on altering its MSME policy and is focusing on bringing investment in districts beyond the National Capital Region (NCR) of Western UP.
To encourage fresh investment in its backward regions, the government is likely to make stamp duty cheaper in Bundelkhand and Purvanchal which is its Eastern part, as per Business Standard.
In the districts of Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) and Ghaziabad the state government is expected to provide a 50 per cent stamp duty subsidy.
Yogi 2.0 government also plans to provide 100 per cent stamp duty subsidy to women entrepreneurs on the purchase of land for setting up micro and small units.
Apart from that depending on the region of the state MSMEs would receive a 50 to 100 per cent subsidy.
To draft the blueprint for making the state a trillion-dollar economy in the next five years the state government has collaborated with Deloitte, a global consultancy company. (KNN Bureau)
