UP Govt’s Budget allocates Rs 250 crore for ODOP scheme, Rs 10 cr for MSME Promotion Policy 2017

New Delhi, Feb 7 (KNN) Yogi Adityanath led UP Government presented its budget for the year 2019-20 today. Several announcements have been made with regard to the industrial sector especially the micro, small and medium enterprises.

Here are the key highlights from the budget on the sector:

   ---  Provision of Rs. 250 crore for One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme has been allocated in the State budget of Uttar Pradesh 2019-20 presented by Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal.

   ---  Provision of Rs. 10 crore has been allocated for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Policy-2017.

   ---  Total of Rs 4.79 lakh crore has been allocated by the government for the development of the state.

   ---  Amount of Rs. 30 crore for ‘Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojna’ has been granted by the government. The scheme aims at uplifting traditional crafts persons including carpenters, tailors, basket weavers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, potters, sweet makers, barbers, cobblers and masons.

   ---  A provision of Rs. 50 crore for the Uttar Pradesh Handloom, Powerloom, Silk, Textile and Garmenting Policy-2017 is also granted in the budget.

   ---  Uttar Pradesh Maati Kala Board has been constituted for conserving and upgrading the skill of traditional pottery artisans in the state through innovation.

   ---  In the budget, provision of Rs. 10 crore proposed for implementation Pottery Integrated Development Programme.

   ---  This budget is 12% higher than the previous year's budget of Rs. 4,28,384.52 crore.

   ---  This is the third budget of the Adityanath government in the state.

   ---  About Rs 3,488 crore set aside for implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. 

   ---  Rs 1,000 crore allocated for development of airports, which includes Rs 800 crore for airport in Jewar and Rs 200 crore for one in Ayodhya.

   ---  Rs 247.60 crore allocated for maintenance of cow shelters in rural areas and Rs 200 crore for 'Kanha Gaushala and Besahara Pashu Ashram' in urban areas.

   ---  In a push for implementation of Deendayal Upadhyaya Small Dairy Scheme, a provision of Rs 64 crore has been made to set up 10,000 units.

   ---  A budgetary provision of Rs 56 crore has been made for establishment of a new dairy in Mathura while Rs 5 crore has been allocated for various programmes under the Uttar Pradesh Dairy Policy, 2018.

   ---  A proposal of Rs 93 crore has been made for strengthening, restructuring and expansion of milk unions and societies, training, technical inputs, cattle breeding and health schemes.

   ---  Rs 100 crore is proposed under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarojgar Yojna.
