UP on path to emerge as data centre hub: CM Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, Aug 16 (KNN) The state is on the right path to emerge as a data centre hub and the upcoming defence corridor is set to provide wings to the state’s development, chief minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday.

Speaking at the event organised to celebrate the 75th year of independence, Adityanath described this Independence Day as a period in history that has witnessed the advent of “naya (new)” Uttar Pradesh.

“Uttar Pradesh set newer models during the surge in Covid-19 cases and is firmly focused on achieving the trillion-dollar economy goal. The state government is also developing a plug and play facility for budding entrepreneurs in Agra, Kanpur and Gorakhpur, ”he said.

As per reports, the state government has been successful in attracting investments worth Rs 4 lakh crore and is on the right path to achieve its set target of attracting Rs 10 lakh crore investment at the global investors’ summit, proposed to be held in UP in January-February 2023.

The state will soon be the first to have five international airports, and all of this is helping in the creation of a ‘naye Bharat ka naya Uttar Pradesh (new U.P. of a new India),” he added.

In the last five years, the state’s exports have grown from Rs 88,000 crore to Rs 1.56 crore. The growth of Uttar Pradesh economy is a vital factor for the overall growth of the state.  (KNN Bureau)
