UP steps to cut industrial pollution

Kanpur, Jan 2 (KNN)  As an initiative to refurbish its industry sector, Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (UPSIDC) is setting up common effluent treatment plant in industrial area and housing sector at Bhogaon in Mainpuri district.

The industrial area which has been proposed in accordance with the norms of the state and Central Pollution Control Boards will have various facilities like bus stop, transportation, hospital, petrol pump, post office and school.

The corporation will be appointing consultant experienced in project financing for preparation of detail project report (DPR) for state and public sector.

The UP State Pollution Control Board regulates the handling and management of wastes generated in accordance with the guidelines of Ministry of Environment and Forest, according to a UPSIDC statement.  (KNN/ST)
