UP to focus on IT, logistics under its new promotion policy for export services

Lucknow, April 26 (KNN) The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to focus on IT, logistics and medical and wellness tourism sector under its new promotion policy for export services.
To attract investment opportunities, the state government of UP held a policy discussion on promoting export services.
Out of the 12 niche areas for services, export identified by the union government, UP has opted five areas which include IT and IT enabled services, logistics, education, and medical and wellness tourism.
Highlighting the government’s aim to boost employment, Nand Gopal Nandi, Minister for Industries and Infrastructure Development said, “The state government is open to working in every area that brings investment in the state and creates employment for its people.”
A policy for promoting services fr0m the state will be brought soon, he added.
Navneet Sehgal, ACS (MSME and export promotion), said that investors and talents fr0m UP have been connected to global opportunities due to the robust policy framework implemented by the state government. (KNN Bureau)
