UP to get theme park

Kanpur, Dec 7 (KNN)  A theme park will soon come up in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh in an initiative to promote tourism in the state.

The project will certainly boost tourism in the state and will have a multiplier impact by providing employment and increasing the income of local stakeholders when guests prolong their stay.

The project has been taken up by the state tourism department as a strategy to develop attractions for various interest groups and which can make tourists spend a longer time in Agra.

In this context, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (UPSIDC) is seeking technical consultants for the proposed project to prepare initial application, attend to appraisals for getting TOR, EIA report, preparation as per TOR, final EIA report submission and getting environmental clearance from central/state authorities.

Agra is a unique district which has the distinction of hosting three world heritage sites. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.  (KNN/ST)
