Lucknow, Nov 17 (KNN) In a bid to boost economic activities in the state, the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has geared up to organise a special loan disbursement camp for industrial units.

Reportedly, while speaking to reporters here on Monday, additional chief secretary, information and MSME, Navneet Sehgal said the camp would be helpful for entrepreneurs who want to set up small industrial units and generate employment.

“The state government aspires to scale up economic activities. Almost all industrial units in the state are in a working state with the help of labourers. Industrial units facing problems are being provided loans with the help of banks under the ‘Atmanirbhar package’,” Shegal said.

''Around 4,37,000 units have been provided with loan to the tune of Rs 10,850 crore,'' he added.

He further said that the state government is also trying to provide more employment opportunities adding, ''In the current fiscal year, around 6.30 lakh new micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSME) units have been provided loans worth Rs 18,348 crore.''
