UPES hosts one day activity to promote MSME entrepreneurs

New Delhi, Jan 23 (KNN) To foster the central governments’ mission on ‘Micro, small and Medium Enterprises’, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) organized a one-day activity at Bidholi campus on Monday.

As a part of Uttarakhand Government’s effort, this one day activity was a part of MSME fortnight being celebrated in Uttarakhand from January 16 to 30 to educate the MSME entrepreneurs on how to derive maximum benefits from existing programs, policies and schemes of the Central and the State Government on this matter.

Arun Dhand, Director – government relations, media affairs and CSR, UPES spoke on the role and the need of industry-based education in a growing economy like India.

Also S C Nautiyal, Director Industry, Government of Uttarakhand focused on the need of regular interactions between the two and offered coordination services from his department 

 Nihal Anwar Siddiqui – HOD, health, safety and environment, UPES represented a power point presentation on the various courses being offered by UPES and also drawn special attention on the in-house capabilities existing in the university that could be used by local industry.

Neeraj Gupta, deputy director- PCRA, GoI gave a presentation on the work being carried out in the field of energy conservation at Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA). (KNN/YV)
