UPSIDC taking steps to promote investment, improve ease of doing business environment in state

Lucknow, Nov 30 (KNN) Uttar Pradesh Government wants to rope in a Consultancy Firm for providing necessary support to the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (UPSIDC), for promoting investments in the state and implementation of Ease of Doing Business Reforms.

In a notification, UPSIDC said it intends to engage a consultancy agency of international repute (Consultant) for providing necessary support to UPSIDC for a period of 3 Years.

The primary objective of assisting UPSIDC would be in developing state of the art industrial estates and promoting investments in the areas/ estates of UPSIDC and implementation of Ease of Doing Business and Business Reforms along with ICT enablement.

In this context, UPSIDC has invited Request for Proposal (RFP) for selection of Consultants to undertake the assignment.

The Consultant will work e with the department to understand the current processes, acts, organizational structure, roles and responsibilities etc. which defines the operational procedures.

They would then examine the current policy, practices and processes for attracting investors and businesses throughout the lifecycle of department related approvals.

Key bottlenecks impacting the ease of doing business would be identified and inputs will be taken from the industry and concerned stakeholders regarding their problems. (KNN Bureau)
