UPSIDC to lease plot for group housing

New Delhi, May 29 (KNN) Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) has invited bids to lease 89, 540.94 sq mt plot for group housing in Sikandrabad, in the Bulandshahr district of UP.

UPSIDC will allot the land to eligible registered cooperative group housing societies for development. 

The city is famous for the milk production, cold storage and pipe factories. Sikandrabad is a big industrial area developed by UPSIDC with a large number of national and multinational companies working here. 

The area of the plot might be increased further.

The plot is being sold at the rate of Rs 5,500 per square metre and will be allocated on technical and financial bids, the official notification said.

UPSIDC, the industrial promotion and infrastructure development undertaking of the State Government is to develop industrial areas and provide primary infrastructure. Its industrial areas are equipped with infrastructure facilities like roads, drains, internal power lines, street lights etc.

UPSIDC has developed 159 Industrial Areas (including Uttarakhand) and 23 Residential Areas encompassing 41948 acres of land with a wide range of infrastructure facilities.

UPSIDC has housed more than 8163 units in various industrial areas which have provided direct employment to 2, 00,000 persons. These units involve a capital outlay of over Rs 15,000 crores. (KNN)
