Uttar Pradesh cabinet gives nod to MSME Promotion Policy 2022

Lucknow, Sept 28 (KNN) Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday approved the Micro Small Medium Enterprises Promotion Policy (MSME) 2022 as well as the State’s Bioenergy Policy 2022 to encourage MSMEs set up bioenergy projects.

It has also approved a proposal to reorganise the State Planning Commission as the State Transformation Commission (STC) on the pattern of the Niti Aayog.

Chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath the state cabinet has agreed to establish the State Transformation Commission.

Presenting its annual budget for 2020-2021 in the state assembly, the state government had announced to set up State Niti Aayog.

The state commission will be chaired by CM Yogi Adityanath and ex-officio members will include finance minister, two deputy chief ministers, agriculture minister, social welfare minister, panchayat raj minister, industrial development minister etc.

Specialists from various fields would also be nominated to the commission.

Additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries of select departments would also be ex-officio members of the commission.  (KNN Bureau)
