Uttar Pradesh Travel Mart 2015 launched today

New Delhi, Nov 15 (KNN)  In the run up to the Uttar Pradesh Travel Mart (UPTM) 2015 to be held in Lucknow from February 22-24, 2015, Minister of Tourism, Government of UP, O P Singh today formally launched the event.
 
The maiden edition of UPTM that will woo top foreign tour operators as well as Indian sellers is being organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in partnership with Government of Uttar Pradesh to boost tourism in the state, according to an official release.
 
The website of the travel mart (http://www.ficci-uptm.com/) for the use of foreign and domestic travelers was also launched on the occasion.
 
“UPTM 2015 will see 75 fully hosted top of the line Foreign Tour Operators from across the world who will have pre-scheduled structured B2B meetings for two full days with the sellers of tourism products of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Top of the line inbound operators from India would be present by way of booth space to interact over B2B meetings with the foreign tour operators and also meet the hoteliers and tour operators from Uttar Pradesh,” it said.
 
Also, nearly 25 leading domestic tour operators from across India as domestic buyers will have the opportunity to undertake pre-scheduled structured B2B meetings for two days with the hoteliers from the state. 
 
In addition, around 80 quality sellers of tourism products occupying around 100 booths / table tops will be promoting the state of Uttar Pradesh as a leading tourist destination for heritage, wildlife, leisure and Buddhist tourism.
 
Sellers will include Hotels, Palaces, Resorts, Destination Management Companies, Travel Agents, Airlines, IRCTC, Department of Tourism and Government of UP.
 
Further, FAM trips  for foreign tour operators will be organised for the Buddhist circuit (covering Lucknow – Sravasti – Kushinagar –Varanasi-Agra), wildlife (Lucknow- Dudhwa National Park-Chambal Lion Safari) and the Heritage Arc (Lucknow –Varanasi - Agra ) leading to onsite marketing of tourism products of Uttar Pradesh.  (KNN/ES)
