UP International Trade Show Signs 4,400 MoUs Worth Rs 6,500 Cr In Fourth Edition

Lucknow, Oct 1 (KNN) The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) recorded strong growth in footfall, investment and business activity, with 4,400 MoUs worth Rs 6,500 crore signed during the five-day event held from September 25 to 29.

Business inquiries generated during the trade show were estimated at around Rs 15,500 crore, while visitor numbers increased by 1.5 lakh compared with the previous edition.

According to official data from the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), the event recorded 41,500 B2B and business meetings. 

Of these, 13,500 were held under the Reverse Buyers-Sellers Meet (RBSM), while around 28,000 business interactions took place in the main exhibition area.

The trade show attracted 5,98,693 visitors and business buyers, including 1,74,990 domestic business buyers and 4,23,703 general visitors.

Business Activity Rises

B2B meetings increased from 31,650 in 2025 to 41,500 this year. Meetings with foreign buyers more than doubled to 13,500 from 6,050, while interactions in the main exhibition area rose 9.38 per cent.

The number of signed MoUs increased from 3,900 to 4,400, while their estimated value rose from Rs 2,680 crore to Rs 6,500 crore. Business inquiries also increased from Rs 12,500 crore to Rs 15,500 crore.

Six Countries Participate As Partner Nations

International participation expanded this year, with Russia, Austria, Japan, Singapore, Belarus and Vietnam participating as partner countries, compared with Russia alone at the previous edition.

Foreign delegations showed interest in Uttar Pradesh's manufacturing, IT, electronics, textiles and agri-food processing sectors.

ODOP Products Attract Global Buyers

The One District, One Product (ODOP) initiative remained a major attraction for domestic and international buyers, showcasing traditional crafts, handloom products, brassware, carpets, leather goods and agricultural products from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

MSMEs and local artisans also secured direct orders from international companies, providing opportunities to expand market reach and strengthen exports.
