Having received a loan from the Asian Development Bank, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) is now keen to procure goods such as commodities, raw material, machinery and equipment and related services such as insurance, installation, training and maintenance for the project.
Situated 1220 metres above sea level, Naukuchiatal which literally means lake of nine corners is a hill station in Uttarakhand’s Nainital district. It is famous for the ‘escape festival’ which happens once every year.
Approximately of one kilometre length and 40 metres deep, it is the deepest lake in the greater Naintal area, frequented by tourists each summer. (KNN/ST)
