Tata Technologies to upgrade 150 ITIs in UP with infusion of Rs 4283 crore

Lucknow, Feb 15 (KNN) The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday approved project for major upgradation of 150 ITIs in the state.

Tata Technologies (TTL) has agreed to invest Rs 4283 crore in the technical education and skill development landscape to improve the Industry 4.0 ecosystem of Uttar Pradesh.

The project costing nearly Rs 5,473 crore entails investment  Rs 1,190 crore by the state government.

The UP vocational education and skill development department will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with TTL soon.

According to the state government, the MoU will be effective for 10 years, including nine months for implementing the scheme.

Meanwhile, the state Cabinet also approved the proposal of transferring land for setting up a textile park under the flagship PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel scheme. The project is estimated to cost Rs 1,200 crore.  (KNN Bureau)
