Uttarakhand Cabinet approves private investment proposal for MSME sector

Dehradun, Feb 16 (KNN) The State Cabinet of Uttarakhand has cleared a slew of proposals which aim to boost MSME sector, including encouragement of private investment in the MSME sector.

Under the project, State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (SIDCUL) would club hands with land owners to create a 'land bank.’ Reported TOI.

The confidence of investors from other states is expected to be boosted owing to the involvement of SIDCUL.

They would be allowed to purchase 2 acres of land in the hills and 30 acres in the plains.

Uttarakhand cabinet has also approved a proposal to provide customised packages to individuals and firms that aim to invest over Rs 200 crore and give employment to 500 locals in the state.

The important budget session would be held in the Bhararisain area of summer capital Gairsain from March 13 to 18, 2023.  (KNN Bureau)
