Dehradun, Oct 23 (KNN) Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami digitally transferred Rs 90 crore subsidy to 40 units under the Industrial Development Scheme, 2017 (IDS).

The Industrial Development Scheme aims to encourage industrialisation in hilly areas by giving a subsidy of 30 per cent, up to a maximum of Rs 5 crore, on investments in plants and machinery in manufacturing and service sector units.

Lauding the union government for its focus on promoting industries in the Himalayan state, CM said, “It is an important scheme for promotion and expansion of industries in the state. The state government is making efforts to promote these industries.”

As per reports, Dhami has directed officers of the industries department to ensure that MoUs worth Rs 55,000 crore signed with leading firms are executed on the ground.

“We need to do our homework and answer queries of potential investors,” he added.
