Vadodara MSMEs urge PM to adjust 33% days of lockdown from paid leaves of employees

Vadodara, Apr 8 (KNN) The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Vadodara has urged centre to allow them to adjust 33 per cent days of lockdown from the paid leaves of employees.

''Employers should be allowed to adjust at least 33 per cent days of lockdown from paid leaves of Employees,'' said Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) in a letter to Prime Minster Narendra Modi.

FGI also demanded a 'Comprehensive Relief Package' for Industries, MSME and all establishments to remain viable and to survive.

''There are many expenses which business owners have to take care such as salaries, electricity bill, taxation, bank interest, GST, PF, ESIC, Property taxes and so on. Special relief measures have to be provided on these aspects to the employers,'' it said.

FGI also suggested measures for the issues being faced by MSMEs and all business establishments with less than Rs 250 crore turnover as of FY 2019-20.

The measures focussed on Salary and Wages, support in Fixed Costs, Banking and Finance, Support for Export / import based Enterprises etc.
