VCCI Expo 2014, an opportunity for MSME innovators to showcase, network

Vadodara, Nov 19 (KNN)  To offer an opportunity to small and medium scale manufacturers to demonstrate their capabilities in the fields of design, engineering, equipment and supplies and support services to large projects, VCCI Expo 2014 will be held here next week.

Organised by the Vadodara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, VCCI Expo 2014 which is the 9th exhibition of industrial and allied products and services is scheduled to be held from November-27 to December-1.

More than 115 innovative products will be on display at the 5-day expo, a media report said.

Speaking to the media, president, VCCI, Nilesh Shukla said, there will be 56 participants at the innovation pavilion.  Besides, there will be displays from 70 from educational institutes, more than 25 from the industry and over 20 individual innovations. 

He also said that with support from the state government, iCreate and Vadodara Innovation Council (VIC), VCCI will work towards `Vadodara The Hub of Innovation', a special innovation pavilion created to present an opportunity to deserving innovators to showcase their products, meet and network, free of cost, as per the media report.

Around 500 exhibitors across the country will participate in the exhibition and over 5 lakh visitors including international participants and delegations are slated to visit the exhibition.

According to official data, the event will provide a platform to foreign participants to exhibit their products / services and explore possibilities of export /import and business tie-ups.  On the other hand, it will enable Indian and international participants to formalize business alliances in any form for mutual growth.

Established up in 1969, Vadodara Chamber of Commerce and Industry represents the interests of entrepreneurs in the Makarpura Industrial area of Vadodara. Today, the Chamber has a membership of over 1800 industries in and around Vadodara.  (KNN Bureau)
