New Delhi, Nov 17 (KNN) The ninth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat summit would focus more on trade and commerce, along with investments, said Manoj Kumar Das, Principal Secretary to the Gujarat Chief Minister.

Speaking at the curtain raiser event in New Delhi, he said “We have changed our focus a little bit. As we are growing now we are not only focusing at investment in Gujarat, we are also talking about trade and exports from Gujarat.”

The summit, with the theme of 'Shaping a New India', will be held during January 18-20, 2019.

The key focus areas for the upcoming summit would be "Industry 4.0", trade, commerce and exports, youth empowerment among others, Das added.

Gujarat Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani invited companies and individuals to invest in the state at a roadshow held here to promote its upcoming bi-annual 'Vibrant Gujarat' investor summit.

Inviting leaders and investors in state, Rupani said "Whoever has started a business in Gujarat has been successful. It is a state with a guarantee of successful business."

Addressing the gathering at the event, he further added that the discussions during the summit would also include global issues and opportunities.

The state government has already held 24 roadshows around the world in the run-up to the biannual event.

It will also organise roadshows in other cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
